EVERY LITTLE “BLUE-BIRDY” IS MORE PROTECTED NOW
On our planet, everyday approximately 2 billion people use social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram etc. According to the latest official report, 0.6% of that log-ons are hacked for different purposes like, forced shares and follows or important and non-important information about you. I was literally surprised when there popped up websites on Google that offer services for hacking Facebook and Twitter accounts. Previosly. Some unofficial sources informed that 32million Twitter accounts have been hacked till now. However, few days back, the information got even worse when a Russian hacker, named himself Tessa88 has claimed that he has collected the usernames, passwords and the email addresses of 379 million Twitter accounts.
Are you starting to feel little bit unsafe? Well, no need to worry already; thankfully, I have some good news for you guys! Twitter guys have started taking care of the issue themselves. As Twitter's head of information security,Michael Coates twitted on his account, few days back, Twitter is "always focused on the issues that present a real threat to account security.” The users should follow few simple steps to keep their Twitter accounts safe.
First, you should you strong and unique password. Be sure that you don’t use the same password for everything.
Second, check your password with password manager such as 1Password or LastPass to make sure that the one you have created is safe enough.
And finally, you should enable login verification and do two factor authentication. This way, Twitter can identify any suspicious access to your account. Twitter will keep the history of your location and logins and the devices you use, as well. If any suspicious trial appears, or your password becomes exposed on any unusual websites, Twitter will automatically stop the access and lock your account. You are going to have to reset your password using the email address or the phone number you have provided before.
Hope you are feeling safer with your Blue-Birdy account now!
